A research blog is born

**DISCLAIMER** This is margelacool first ever blopost. Before becoming a teenage sea slug, Margelacool was a young snail speeding through a baby pink background.

Welcome to margelacool research blog

Consider this introduction as its Birth

It’s chubby, tiny, ugly, and pink

I am Margaux Vitre, and I believe there should be more human and economic ressources in digital rights implementation/enforcement. I also believe these ressources should not only be directed toward legal compliance

I mainly do action research, and read sci-fi books. My personal toolkit consist in a Cognitive Science master degree mixed with a public policy/philosophy background + experiences with NGOs and companies that seek to implement digital rights

Enough about me, what should you expect from this research blog?

  • random thoughts on how Cognitive Science could help better understand and evaluate digital rights user experience
  • less random thoughts on the need to create governance institutions to deal with the Internet (and how they could use Cognitive Science)
  • random thoughts on digital rights implementation through a product management approach (less compliance stuff)
  • interviews with inspiring people from digital rights universe
  • random thoughts on how to involve civil society in the digital rights debate (so it does not stay burried in the institutional/tech bubble)
  • what’s on my mind

⚠︎ I am tired (and depressed) of the deterministic and pessimistic discourse on the « attention economy », and how addictive social media is. Thus, I will focus on solutions, alternatives, initiatives to change the current state that we are in

⚠︎ This is a technosolutionism forbidden territory

⚠︎ Sometimes it is a good idea to get out of your head, take a walk outside, and learn about the planet ecosystem or biodiversity
