Hi fellas
I have an imagination practice for you.
LET’S GO
You are an online creator. You post creative stuff on social media. Sometimes you post videos of you dancing in your panties because you love life.
Imagine a world where ✮⋆ your post is not mistakenly classified by an algorithm as pornographic content ⋆✮ AND if it’s mistakenly classified AT LEAST you are notified that ⤸⤸⤸
- ✮⋆ your post is NOT or WAY LESS suggested in people’s feeds
- ✮⋆˙ your account handle does not appear in the search bar
- ✮⋆˙ you can’t access live-streaming features
DO YOU SEE IT? ✮⋆˙ AND Not only you are notified, but you know why it happened.
WAIT! ✮⋆˙ You can even say NO and someone will listen to what you are saying.
In brief, a world where there is no shadow banning as we know it.
To make that dream come true fill out my survey called the Creator Help Center available right here https://mpib.qualtrics
↝ It’s for people who post on social media and ask what would be a “shadow banning” notification on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok? (in a better way, don’t worry I don’t ask you to write an essay:)
It was designed with the help and care of people at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development Adaptive Rationality Center here in Berlin (thank you<3).
If you want to ask questions about the survey send a DM to the study Instagram account @creatorhelpcenter_study or email vitre@mpib-berlin.mpg.de
If you are curious about shadow banning I invite you to read Carolina Are, Hacking//Hustling collective report, and the Center for Democracy and Technology report.
See you next time for another postcard
Time to let loose now
YA YA
